Oooh.

[livejournal.com profile] sardonic_girl = tres cool.

[I think that "e" should have an accent, but is it grave or acute? I think it's acute, but I'm not sure.]

Why didn't I check her out the first time [livejournal.com profile] groovycat mentioned her?

Ooooooh.

She needs to write more entries. I admittedly have "issues" with black people - namely, that they terrify me, even online sometimes. But this girl is an exception. She's beautiful, and I am in awe of her brain and her writing.

*reads recent flame war comments in [livejournal.com profile] groovycat's journal*
*laughs ass off*

Edit: [livejournal.com profile] groovycat asks people not to go running off and starting up the flame war again if they see this. And I see her point. It's died down. So be GOOD, y'all.

black people scare you? why?

--

the flame war in my lj cracks me up. here i was, -expecting- to get flamed for the content of my post, and instead nobody flames me at all and it's just two random people flaming each other about the bible being considered to be the word of god. heee. on a serious sidenote though: i don't really want any more people to come over and join in and start shit up again, so please maybe add a little edit that i ask nobody else to join in? i've never had to turn off comments before, and i don't want to have to start now. :)

Oh, ha. I never thought I might be sending people over by accident, I honestly was just commenting on the amusement factor. But yeah, sure - I'll edit, although it's a bit late at the time I'm posting this. I doubt anyone else will join in.

I didn't think people on my friends list were too excitable about religion, just gay rights. When I post about something gay-related, I just KNOW people are going to run over and join in, but it didn't occur to me that could happen with this. :P

And yeah...they do. Hard to explain. I suppose I should say something more about that, considering I just sort of threw it out there.

Why, thank you for your plug and compliment, Bean. Though I find it a bit alarming that as a whole, we scare you. I don't find us particularly terrifying, except for maybe Michael and Latoya Jackson. *shudder*

I'm not really an exception to any rule, just meet a wide range of us and you'll see.

I do believe the "wider range" thing is part of the whole problem. Where I live, blacks are a very, very small minority. I'm trying to remember how many black kids I went to high school with....there can't have been more than a handful in my whole grade. and the ones I remember best, of course, are the ones that freaked me out. Sucks that life works that way...

So yes. I know, logically, that no one person is indicative of what a group of people are like, and I only meant that my reaction was different than usual. :) I love your entries, you have a real flair for writing.

Micheal Jackson is...yeah, let's not get into that. :P

I've heard the same thing from so many kids that I go to uni with, that until they met me and my accomplices, their interaction with Black people had been next to nil. I find it weird because coming from a city, I've been exposed to every race and ethnicity under the stars. But I guess that life gives you opportunities to live and learn. Consider me your opportunity. And if you love the ol' writing kills, you'll go batty over my latest one. Even I was mildly impressed. Go, me...
