Livejournal OWNS me
Feb. 8th, 2007 01:23 pm*sighs*
I give up.
I just...give up.
I sulked when it first became an issue, I vowed never to cave, I fought it for so long, and still, still - I am beaten. I am lost. I lose.
I'LL USE THE GODDAMN TAGS FEATURE, OKAY?!
I hated it so much initially because it seemed undignified to mark your own entries that way in such plain sight. It feels exposing, to have every single person who reads your entries know how you classify and categorize them. Sure, the Memories function does the same thing - but Memories are something that a reader would need to specifically look for, and lj allows the option of privately saved Memories, while tags are all public, near as I can tell.
Plus, they're kinda ugly.
BUT, I've gotten used to the sight of them like everyone else, and they've seemed a more useful way of keeping track of things than Memories - because, GOD, my Memories are all over the place at the moment. I'm quite tired of not being able to find stuff in my journal when I want to, although this means I'll have to go through the whole damn thing, I guess.Like everyone else sane already did.
So. Tags it is. SO THERE.
*pouts*
