It sounds like they think guys jacking off is gross. What's up with that? I don't see what's gross about anyone masturbating. Well...okay, I can see a few exceptions to that rule. But in general...

but really, um, what *was* that about masturbation necessarily being about a lack of control, about men *needing* to masturbate? as if women didn't masturbate as well and experience all sorts of sexual urges and desires?

I agree...
It's just another thing that women can be socially acceptable doing, but men can't. Like being bisexual, or homosexual, or even having tattoos, to a limited extent.

Somehow, it's hot for them, gross for us. I haven't figured it out yet, though, so don't ask me.
