Divorce

My parents are getting a divorce.

My dad just told me and my sister. Nicole is taking it kinda hard; she went up to her room. Maybe she's crying, I dunno.

I can't say I'm surprised. I've seen this coming. I called it years ago. I figured dad was just sticking around for our welfare; I wrote as much in my journal two years ago.

Nicole is more shocked than me; she kept reminding us that MOM said they wouldn't get a divorce.

I asked my dad about finances, and he said he believes he can live somewhere else and keep us stable. So that should be okay. He said he stuck around so long for us, but that he doesn't love mom anymore.

And he hasn't had an affair, whatever mom thinks.

I want to ask him what's going to happen to our internet accounts, and when he's going to turn Parent access over to mom on the Norton Parental Internet Security thing, but I think now is too delicate a time.

I told him I love him, and that's it okay....

...for once in my life I meant it.
