Is this "Be a Bitchy Queen Day" and someone forgot to tell me?

"You're here. You're queer. Just get over it already."

Greatest quote I ever heard.

Now, then. I would like to state that tomorrow I'm doing something useful and productive. I'm fucking doing something worthwhile. Yes, I am.

My parents are in a very bad mood because we were supposed to have two guys come and install a new garborator today. One that works. One guy came by to drop it off and didn't stay to install it. (It turned out to be a hundred dollars for that little service. Highway robbery!) He said a crew would be coming to do it. They didn't show.

So yes, there's been some tension in my house.

I've been trying to find some furry writing that is actually decent, and am now convinced it simply may not exist. Such is usually the case with fan fiction, though, isn't it? Fuck, if I really wanted to read furry fiction I'd go back and dig up my Redwall series.

Speaking of Redwall...I feel a much less random entry coming on.

Decent furry fiction DOES exist, in small quantities (Many more furries seem to be interested in art than writing, both on the producing and consuming ends) But, yeah, it is like any other fanfic in that, if you try to find it all by yourself, you'll probably die of bad story poisoning first. ;o)

The stuff in furry 'zines, particularly Morphic Tals and Anthrolations (see www.rabbitvalley.com) tends to be good, since it's actually EDITED. ;o) As far as online stuff... There's some decent things out there, I know.. Sorta depends on what particular kind of fiction you're interested in, though. :o)

Oh, and any progress on the firewall thing?

Editing is nice...I'm thinking in particular of online erotica, which typically climaxes with, "fewhfewfyutgeyr." Uh huh. Type with one hand much? No proofreading there.

I kinda got the idea from the smallish search I did that the best (consistant) stuff is going to be in the zines.

Mainly, I was looking to get an idea of general guidelines for WRITING it...being the "writer" person I am, I always like trying new styles/techniques/topics. So it irriated me some that the guidelines seem to be (from what I've found so far) "make it up however you want, but make sure it's patchy and generally bad. Then throw in some sex."

I can't immediately think of any good erotica I could send you links to... Most of the stuff I found worthy, I've ended up saving.. And I'm not even sure your intersts are anything like my own. However, the quality ratings (when they're there) at Miavir's archive (Do a search on that name, my browser's not wanting to work right, right now) seems to be pretty accurate. :o)

As ar as how to write.. um... There's not exactly a genre bible; and I haven't done that much myself, and even what one person might consider a 'furry story,', the next person might not. :o) I'd just say, write whatever you think is furry, and then just put it out there. If you have actual writing experience, you're probably well ahead of the majority anyway. Hell, if you can type and capitalize and punctuate and spell, you're well ahead of the lots and lots of the stuff that's out there. ;o)

Ah, I can find the erotica...just running across the amateur stuff and seeing that is quite annoying.

Hell, if you can type and capitalize and punctuate and spell, you're well ahead of the lots and lots of the stuff that's out there.

*howls* Hell, yeah. You noticed? *gigglegiggleSNORT*

Oh, and the firewall...um, well, I'd have to wait until my dad is in a good mood with me, which might be the next ice age...or, he may just not have a clue how to fix it.

Or, I may never make him care enough to try. You have to convince my dad it's worth his while first. And it rarely is.

Ah, yes, I know how that can be. :oP Well, there's other alternatives.. I'll try to work something up, though go ahead and keep trying. :o)
