Angel wings are fluttering...ahhh, whatever

I have religion on the brain today, very much so. For numerous reasons, I suddenly feel like I have a lot to say on a subject that I wasn't thinking much of before.

But it's a little late to get heavy, so I'm just going to post something light about one of the reasons - lurker added me. And no, I don't normally ANNOUNCE when someone adds me, but this is a bit different, because he's been on my list of Journals to Watch for a while now. I first saw this guy in the atheist community, and when I read a few of his comments there, a couple of funny little beings suddenly appeared on my shoulders. They've been having an exchange about him ever since, and it goes like this.

Angel: Say, this lurker kid seems like a real nice guy.

Devil: Ha! Read the comments! He's clearly trying to convert everyone here. Remember Nathan Chan? The crazy nut who gave you 400-odd pamphlets in an attempt to convert you? They sound like they could be twins.

Angel: So you don't like him? Cuz I think he's cool.

Devil: No! I don't like him at all! So there!

Angel: Why not? I think he actually cares about people. He might be just a weensy bit preachy, but the caring aspect is really something we see too rarely, no?

Devil: He sounds like another Nathan Chan to me, I stand by that.

Angel: Well, I'm gonna go check out his journal.

Devil: You do whatever you want, pumpkin. You're too gullible. He just wants you to THINK he's a wonderful person, but that's a TRICK!!!

Angel: You have trust issues.

Devil: *sulk*..........tell me the comment links aren't a bit much.

Angel: When someone has that many friends, I think he can claim the comment links.

Devil: Have you heard the guy on the topic of how he's responsible for every 7-11 that gets knocked over, cuz he's not doing his part? Kid's gonna have a heart attack before he's 30!

Angel: Aw, I knew you cared!

Devil: Shut up! Stop hugging me!

Angel: Yeah, that's why I said what I did, that he's not responsible for anything he doesn't directly cause...I know that won't make a difference, but I had to say SOMETHING, at least to reassure myself.

Devil: Bleeding-heart.

Angel: Cynic.

Devil: Stalemate.

...and this ends total honesty hour.

But he added me, so the angel wins, regardless.
