It took until after the second episode of the fourth series...but there is FINALLY a Ten/Donna community starting up. (Yes, I AM perverse enough to ship the one New Who ship that both writers and actors swear will never sail.) It's here:

Fandom comes through again!

Honestly, I'm deeply relieved by this. Because for a while there, Ten/Donna very nearly broke Rule #34. Meaning, I've located only two genuine smutfics for that pairing thus far, and one of those two is crap. And considering Donna's amazing boobs, and how hot it would be if she tied Ten up and smothered him with them for a while, that's just...well, WRONG.

Now all is right with the universe again.


I'm a little weirded out, though. Like, I realized that I've truly never had a het ship before. So many questions!

1. What's the equivalent of "preslash" if it's not slash? Is it "prehet?"
2. Or is it "preship," given that you have to say you "ship" a het pairing, since you can't "slash" them?
3. Can one character still get the other drunk to get in their pants? What about turning on porn and whipping out their genitalia? They can't buddy-wank, can they?
4. A het ship, I'm thinking, lacks the threat of physical violence if one character does not return the feelings the other - WAIT, DONNA, NEVERMIND.
5. Is it ever okay for a het ship to boink with their socks still on?
6. How does it WORK, anyway? Where does everything go?
