Pick a urinal, any urinal

Ganked from

"Unwritten Social Rules" - Using the Men's Room.
This is really supposed to be a joke...but I'm sure it would relieve a lot of FTMs greatly to run through a more serious version in order to get a clear, written idea of what is expected of us in the men's room.
Most of these I got right, anyway. (Evidently, however, my instinct to ALWAYS be as close as possible to the door doesn't help in every situation.) It's not too hard to pick up these "rules." But really, at this late stage in life, gaffes are really noticeable, so it would be cool if someone created a real resource along the same lines.

Oh, also, if you're already there and someone comes in... regardless of whether you're at the urinal or in that stall, or if you come in and someone is anywhere in the bathroom, there is a "sink rule" too - where only one person should be using the sink at a time. That person's job is to wash their hands quickly and obviously, so that others in the room know that they're leaving soon, and then leave. The others' in the rooms job is that once a "leaver" has designated themselves, you stay put until the leaving is done, so that no interaction needs to take place.
Sometimes, there's a race between people when 2 are in the room, because depending on the person, they might both tend to be "leavers" by personality. In that case, whoever starts to leave first is the leaver, and the other person must become one who stays put. It's just the rule.
If 2 people are those who tend to stay put, then sometimes bathroom sessions last longer than they should. This doesn't happen too often. Usually, one will notice that the other is a stayer too, and they'll try to leave.
oh, and the leaver, when they decide that they're going to be a "leaver" should make noises of leaving and such as soon as possible, to announce their intentions, so that everyone else can know to stay still or whatnot.
um.. anyway. just the rules as I've come to know them.

"that stall" should be "in the stall" and the sink rule is kind of more of a "leaving or staying" rule, or a "dragrace" rule or something. because sometimes it really is like a dragrace.
