Yup, it is really hard to remain sensitive in this world when you have had to learn to be tough to get through. I just try and look at old people and consider what type of old person I want to be.

The cranky, mean, cynical, hard nose. Or the type with wisdom and amusement in their eyes.

I like the latter, It is also important to work on our expressions, because the ones we use a lot are the ones that will be permanently etched on our faces as old people, and everyone knows what type of person we were and are.

thats too true... take it from me.

I smile and laugh a ton at work, but take on different expressions when in an unfamiliar place. I'd like to keep smiling an looking approachable and happy, but my face takes the mask of aggression out of fear. I guess I have a dual purpose face.


Still working on it, though... it's easier to not have to work on it to start with... if you know what I mean.

Thank you, I was unaware of the existence of that community until you mentioned in porn_debate. :)

And she drives most people up the wall, I'm sure. I've been reading anti_porn for a long time (to get that side of it), and I always found her comments there annoying, but especially so since I read this.

I just don't think she's really interested in the sharing of ideas, if you know what I mean. I probably should not reply to her at all, but it can be hard to resist.
