Apparently, I'm a geek

Wednesday in Typesetting, this girl K. called me over to her seat and asked me what "house" Harry Potter is in.

(The reason she asked this evidently had something to do with my Gryffindor scarf...I guess she figured I'd know.)

I was a bit perplexed - she worded the question oddly - so I said, "Privett Drive," thinking that she was asking what street Harry lives on with the Dursleys.

"No, no," she said, after a brief consultation with someone else. "His house...you know...he goes to school, right? And he's in...a house? Like, there's a tower or something, right...a house...Gryff-Gry-Gryffindor? Is that it?"

"Um, yeah, he's in Gryffindor," I said, boggling a little.

"And that's what your scarf is?"

"Yeah, it's a Gryffindor scarf." Some looks from around the table, like people weren't sure what to make of that.

"Okay, thanks." Apparently, that was all she needed to know.


Okay, I am definitely not the biggest HP geek of anyone I know, not by a long shot. But is Harry Potter in Gryffindor?

I don't know, is the Pope Catholic? Jeebus. With my luck, I spelled something HP-related wrong in this entry. Just watch!
