There was a little boy, about 12 years old. His name was Dan. He went to see a movie on the largest screen in his city, in the oldest cinema house. You had plans, once. Big plans! You were going to be famous, or rich, or well-traveled, or liked by everyone. You were going to be someone really special.

You're still someone really special. You're just not THAT someone really special.

You might want to mourn those plans, since the time or opportunity for them is now gone. You might not have the talent for them, or maybe your perspective has changed.

But mourn them often. Why not? Don't they deserve that much? Didn't they mean enough for that?

And one day it'll stop hurting in even that small little way.

And on that day, you'll be old.
