To be [out] or not to be [out]
Jun. 13th, 2002 07:19 pmY'all can be "bois" if you want, but I'm a BOY. Spelled with a "y." Boyboyboy. Or a guy. Or a dude. Or a homie. But not a boi. ^_~
So today is the second last day of school...man, I have so much stuff to do.
We had a big party for our drama/tech teacher Ms. E this afternoon, because she's retiring at the end of this year. We got her a big cake in the shape of an E (well, I didn't, but I think it was my friend Kat that did) and we made up a scrapbook with pics of all of us, and our emails, and little letters. (And our ljs, where applicable. Lester may get her a code, which would be cool.) She was very surprised, and touched...it was a cool party. Some old graduated techs showed up, too.
We cleaned out our lockers today. While I was putting all the stuff I'd taped up in my backpack, I was thinking about how this may be the last year I have "Trans Activist" signs up in my locker. Next year in college, I'm hoping to just be a guy.
Now depending on many factors, that may not be feasible, but I came closer this year than I ever thought I would to pulling it off, even with people who've known me a while, and so on. So maybe.
My uncle changed his name in this city, so I'm going to ask him how, and look into that this summer.
