Nose Hill is growing in nicely. It's a naturalized grasslands park in the northern part of our city, and it's probably about a sixth or a seventh of the space Calgary takes up. Because it's mostly grasslands, it gets very dry. So we have at least a fire a year up there. A few weeks back we had one that was particularly bad, and a very large section of the Hill was burned black. (Right down to the road! The police had traffic blocked off, b/c they were worried it would jump to the lawns across the streets.)

But now everything is growing in, and turning a nice shade of fresh green. Some parts of the Hill are more bare than others, and it looks like the Hill is growing mold!
