beandelphikiNose Hill is growing in nicely. It's a naturalized grasslands park in the northern part of our city, and it's probably about a sixth or a seventh of the space Calgary takes up. Because it's mostly grasslands, it gets very dry. So we have at least a fire a year up there. A few weeks back we had one that was particularly bad, and a very large section of the Hill was burned black. (Right down to the road! The police had traffic blocked off, b/c they were worried it would jump to the lawns across the streets.)
But now everything is growing in, and turning a nice shade of fresh green. Some parts of the Hill are more bare than others, and it looks like the Hill is growing mold!
Well, we need to make sure we bring ALL props and costumes for tech rehearsal Monday, but it looks very good right now, otherwise. Undoubtedly there will be last minute-scrambling, but not as much as other groups.
Fae's for example - her actors don't know their LINES, let alone their blocking, and she goes up next week, like me. Yikes.
Kendall (my director) told me, "I look at that and I can say I'm not that screwed. One way or another, I'm ready to go up next week. Now they are screwed."
