Okay, right, so I'm going to be stage managing Kendall's play. (For those who don't know who Kendall is, she's a friend of mine who's in Drama 30. We've known each other since the days we played on the same U-13 soccer team. *becomes lost in memories* Heh.)

I really don't like the play that much. I'm sorry, but I think it's weird. It's about this autistic kid and his mother, and in the end, she goes crazy. It's weird, and I think it's a little disrespectful to autistic people, although I know the girl who wrote it (Donna, another friend of mine) never meant any harm.

Plus, Kendall is so hopelessly unorganized, and none of my actors want to show up for rehearsals, it seems. We had our first one today, and Kendall, me, two "fairies" (don't ask) and one main actor showed up. Two main actors couldn't show, and one I really excuse b/c she didn't get notice of the rehearsal in time to get off work, (Kendall's disorganized fault) and the other I think had to do something with his parents, I'm not sure. I'll have to check. But one fairy just decided it wasn't worth her time to show - which really makes me mad, b/c she's a friend of Kendall's and Kendall probably won't fire her. (Well, she's my friend, too, but I never had too much difficulty making cold decisions, and this one is only cool.)

Oh, yeah, Pat's mentoring you 'cause he's IN it. Poor Kendall, I don't think this will go far. Who did you SM last year?

My only tip is to be mega-organized and do what you can. Ms. Eberle will be sympathetic to you if the play flops because of Kendall's disorganized-ness.

Yeah, I know Ms. E will be cool about it. But this really sucks. As far as I'm concerned, I've had several flops now. One in gr. 10 we never actually performed b/c we were so behind, the school play in gr 9 (well, it wasn't technically a flop, but I hated it), one that was also in gr. 9, but in class - and the absolute worst, one in gr. 5. I worked my a$$ off for months on this play. It was my idea, I organized it, directed it, got all the props and set myself, etc. And then it was the biggest mess b/c the two guys working with me were f--cking around. I had a nervous breakdown, and had to be taken home. :(

So I really don't want another one. But the last time I worked with Kendall was in gr. 9, and that was one of the flops I mentioned. :(

I wasn't in tech or drama last year, so I didn't SM anyone.
