When I was seven, there were two black kids in my school. One girl, one boy.

The girl had exactly one friend. Me.

And the boy? Well, he was my first kiss, and in a little-kid way, my first boyfriend. (Actually, one of two - so nearly my last, as well, but that's another story.)

I the spent the next 2 1/2 years being harassed on the playground for being a "nigger lover." Did I resent that? No. I just didn't understand what everyone's problem was.

Now nobody better be lookin' me in the eye and fuckin' calling me racist.

Just because I recognize the reality of reverse discrimination does not make me racist. It makes me socially aware. And it means I don't have a bloody guilt complex.

I AM NOT RACIST. I AM NOT RACIST. I AM NOT RACIST. I NEVER HAVE BEEN. AND I NEVER WILL BE.

Well, the subject of "reverse" rascism came up elsewhere. I was defending the position that white people can be discriminated against b/c of their skin color (not often, I know, and it's not backed by the "power structure", I know, I just got lectured at.)

The person holding the other side said that someone who says white people can be discriminated against are basically rascist whiners. That just really bothered me.

Hmm. What's wrong? The argument against me, calling me (indirectly) a racist whiner, or both?

Historically, even white people discriminated against white people. Nobels killed the peasants, raped and pillaged. The English tried to kill all the French, all the Scottish.

Caucasians aren't the majority everywhere.

Stick a couple of white guys downtown Tokyo and see who sticks out like a sore thumb.

Living in Montreal, I had been drawn into fights for 2 different reasons. 1: Walking through a white neighborhood, and not being white enough (Because I'm quite tanned, being only half white) and 2: Walking through a very ethnically diverse neighborhood, and being purely white.

I was forced to fight white people because I was brown, and forced to fight black people, east indian people, lebanese people, mexican people, greek, you name it, for being white.

Anyone who tells you anyone who says whites can be discriminated against, just send them to me, and I'll quickly ship them off to Quadalumpor where they will most likely be swiftly robbed, because they're an easy white target.

I hate people who think caucasians have had it easy. Because while the white people were murdering and enslaving the africans and spanish etc. they were also enslaving their own people, at the same time.

Not to mention, africans had slave societies, where lower members of tribes were often beaten and killed, Egypt is another fine example. Brazil has an extensive history of slavery.

White people aren't bad, ALL people are

There is no such thing as reverse racism.

Mmm. Well, no. But people freak when you use just the word "racism" to refer to anti-white bias. So I say "reverse" racism - that's what we call it in my family. In a way it is "reverse" because it's a reversal of systemic discrimination in North America.
