You know, when someone tells me that my posts are too strongly worded, not civil enough, etc., and that no one could respect them enough to listen, I'm sure they have a point. I have my father's temper, I do, I do. (Of course, then we have to ask whether I care that much about being listened to, or if I'm really venting more.)

But that argument is really shot to hell when they put "LOL" in the same post where they tell me my words cannot be respected.

Really shot to hell.



Gawd, my legs hurt. They haven't felt like this since the last time I played three soccer games back-to-back. Too much crouching on catwalks. Bleh.

I don't think they're too strongly worded really- that's just you being you, right?
I'm guilty of overly-using "lol" :/ but I do agree, if someone is rying to make a serious point or whatever, that really does reduce the impact of their statement.

Hmm, well, this was an argument where I ended up insulting someone. Quite diliberately, they sort of had shown me at that point that the weren't reading what I had to say, and had the comprehension skills of a flea. So I didn't care about being polite. And someone else came and bascially told me I was a flaming asshole. :P Which I was, but I knew that. :P

Really, I don't care about "lol." Except when someone is, you know, trying to make a serious point. Then it's just silly.
