Not really. It's funny in a wordplay sense, even if the concept is a little wrong.

I guess I'm wondering if it's rude to laugh because of the whole joke regarding Jews and money. Which is offensive. I don't think I would have laughed if it was phrased differently. You're right, it's the wordplay.

To my knowledge, Jewish people aren't overly stingy with money. Then again, I've only known one Jewish person, and he's too dorky to afford to be stingy. So.
