Petty annoyances

Oh, one really bad thing about being a wannabe sk8er boy and doing drag...I got bright red permanent lipstick on my hat, somehow. Ugh.

*spends 20 minutes scrubbing it off*

Today My Sister the Artist informed me that my father downloaded a 30-day free trial of an animation program. The kind of animation program that will make blinking letters on icons, and cool stuff like that.

But it will also only last for twenty times having the program opened.

So, to spare my artistic genius sister all twenty open-programs, I am forbidden to TOUCH this thing.

Sometimes, I really fucking hate my sister.



Later in the evening - just a little while before I would take my evening shower, as it so happens - my sister comes up to my room and bangs on my door. "Come see my first animation!"

"No."

"C'mon!"

"Fuck off."

"Fuck you!"

...Well, sorry, but I consider jacking off a more productive use of my time, thank you.

is so cold. You should be proactive and a good role model for your sister by searching the net for a hack or a bootleg password to get full access to the program :D

or you could try to get the full version off of Morpheus or Edonkey2000.com.. :) sorry, I'm a bad influence. :(

Ha, priorities, I like that. :) The older you get, you know, the more you have to prioritize. ;)

Well, you know, I might have been more inclined to go look at her animation if it weren't for that fact that I'm not allowed to use the program.

So, all in all, the fact that she was rubbing salt in the wound at THE most inopportune time...nah.

its very rude that they won't let you use that program. Who's to say who is an artist and who is not, anyway? Sometimes the best artists are the ones that no one suspects..
I was always considered a lousy artist by others, until I started working on stuff.. then suddenly people were trying to "encourage" me and "support" my artistic efforts. so I stopped doing art. can't handle that pressure crap.

Inopportune.. to say the least :) sounds like you got back at her anyway :P

was being sarcastic about the good role model stuff.. you knew that though.... ? Most people don't like their programs to be hacked.

Hmm, yeah. It's my opinion that if one sibling is very talented at something, it's LESS likely that the other sibilings will totally UNTALENTED at that thing. But my parents have a way of splitting us. She's The Artist, I'm The Writer. Which is not to say that she has no writing talent - she does. In my complete modesty, I have to say she's not as good as me, but she has some writing skill.

I didn't think I could draw at all, mainly because of what my parents said until a little while ago. I tried to draw a few cartoons (cartoons are my sister's strongest suit) and discovered I wasn't half bad at it. There's a lot of similarity between my style and my sister's, too (which I think only helps support my theory.) It makes me wonder...if I hadn't been actively discouraged from drawing when my sister's talent was "discovered," I wonder if I might be close to her artistic equal at this point. Pure speculation, though.

Blah, blah...I'll stop rambling now. :)
