Okay, I want to write something. I really do. I just have nothing to write. I'm going through another "writing nothing but crap" phase.

It doesn't help that my "current music" is listening to my mom blab on the phone 1.5 feet from me.

Today the weather was GREAT. Smokey grey and overcast sky...gentle rain all day. (Except for the storm.) Call me crazy, but I love weather like that - thoughtful, stimulating. I live for it. Other people might call it dreary, but not me.

"My time of day...is the grey part of the day..." (Okay, that's not really how the song goes, heh.)

I wonder why rain makes me so happy. Is it because bright blues skies were more likely to come with fists in my childhood home? Does it suit my inner introspective nature, curled up with a book or writing pad? Speaking of writing pads, why can I not seem to write poetry any more?

Maybe it's because I've been writing with a keyboard. Am I so used to writing in soundbites that I can't write 20 (disjointed, incomplete) lines of prose? Maybe I need to find my connection with the pen again, among other things.

Don't worry, if it's worth it, I'll post it.

I like rain. Its very... calming, even when thunder and lightning are crashing (How contradicting does that sound?). I sort of like the sunsets on a grey day. A bit of color to soften into night. How pleasant. Pens are very good things, I have many.
Cheers!

I agree, thunder and lightning are very soothing.

We're weird. Heh.
