-Jesus, I thought the dog was going to get hit. If it had, I would have been freaking out so badly, I don't know if I would have been able to watch the show. So I'm glad it wasn't.

-Was #6/9 (i.e. Kumar's character) wearing CHUCKS this episode? If so, I like him even more. (And I have liked him from the start.)

-Cutthroat Pixie is SO cutthroat and determined, you simply know she won't make the cut. Not just because House will never put up with her, but because as a character, she's an extended comedic arch...fun to watch, but exhausting if it goes on for too long. Can't wait to see how she gets cut.

-I'm finally liking #13 somewhat. She's finally got some actual personality instead of those fake-cool lines. And she had the correct Dx first...even if she screwed it up in a truly memorable way.

-House's, "...Interesting," after the guy in clinic electrocutes himself and the lights blow was simply great.

-Cutthroat Pixie (henceforth known as CP) upping the PotW's tilt table speed seemed strongly parallel to House doing the same thing in, "TB or not TB." I wonder if that was deliberate...?

-"Welcome to tribal council." *DED*

-Having now seen the episode, it occurs to me that if CP hadn't "gone rogue," as it was put, #13's Dx would have been the only one...possibly the PotW would have been given another round of meds, and he wouldn't have died? Hmm. Maybe not, but when it seems like they've got the correct Dx, House is more likely to look at human error for an explanation. Just a thought.

-Love Chase. He's kickass.

-Foreman's softer "interpretation" of how to do House amused me. I wasn't sure what to make of it, except to think that if I were a doctor, I'd probably aim to be more like Foreman's House than House's House. Too bad it's just not as badass and cool. I cringed a little when he went to push his patient into the hall, though...I KNEW what was coming, even without spoilers.

-WTF to his supervisor's line: "You thought saving the patient's life and doing the right thing were the same," or however that went. I mean, did she REALLY SAY THAT? I don't want to work in, or be treated at, a hospital where my superiors/doctors think those two things are mutually exclusive. Just...WTF. If "doing the right thing," means being cautious, it is the right thing ONLY because it statistically raises the patient's odds of survival, i.e. the odds of saving her life. LOGIC TRAIN GO BOOM THOUGH, OBVIOUSLY.

-"HEY WILSON! I'm going to remove a cripple's eye! Want to come watch?" "Good times." Holy fuck, that was funny. As was House and Wilson's synced-up ogle of Cuddy's ass.

-The argument over whether or not to let the PotW continue thinking there's an afterlife. I mean, first of all, it's interesting that Wilson seems to really think House could single-handedly change someone's mind about their religious beliefs. Either Wilson is arrogant about what he thinks people will accept blindly from doctor's mouths, or he thinks (probably from experience) that it's easy to manipulate someone who's dying. I'm thinking it's the latter; but either way, it's interesting.

-Wilson also doesn't appear to disagree much with House that there is no afterlife. i.e. the use of the word, "fairytale." We haven't been told much about what WILSON believes...so again, interesting.

-I sort of agree with House, and at the same time, I don't. I agree with the basic principle to always pursue the truth, and to always state it, and YET, it seems that the truth is sometimes the worst thing you can offer.

-House. Jesus. Can't leave shit alone, eh? I never did anything stupid like that. Like stare directly at the sun just to see if it really would turn me blind.

-Wilson taking over the fellowship candidates. He looks so tired and little and lost. I just loved him in this scene, but he looks so out of his depth and I feel for him.

-"You're an idiot," the moment House has his eyes open - Wilson is also kickass.

-The too-serious, "I love you." No words. HE SAID IT. OMG.

-The dog's death and all...this show is so heartbreaking sometimes.

-I agree with House. Thirteen has been the best diagnostician so far...and she will never let this happen again.

...Okay, that took a lot longer than 97 seconds, admittedly.

GOD I need to go to bed.

I love Cutthroat Pixie. That's the same actress who was in White Chicks and also the pilot episode of Psych (no idea why she was recast/left) and I like her.

-WTF to his supervisor's line: "You thought saving the patient's life and doing the right thing were the same," or however that went. I mean, did she REALLY SAY THAT?

I believe the point of that was to show how sometimes Upper Management Procedure Rules take precedent over whether you're "doing the right thing and saving a patient's life". Cuddy happens to know that no matter how rude, obnoxious or disgusting House gets when he breaks the rules, he's the best and he knows what he's doing/does what he does to save a person's life. She doesn't quite care about House's collateral motives--so long as the end justifies the means. Foreman thought he could do that and be the Kinder, Gentler House and get things done the same way, but it just didn't fly. Perhaps if he WERE more like House and told the bitch to STFU and let him do his job, he might not've stuck his tail between his legs like he did and remained silent.

I liked the Fake Doctor Guy.

In other news, I took the House Cane out tonight when I went grocery shopping. It was okay...I'm just not used to the hook handles anymore (I prefer the derby handles).

What I meant was that some hospitals/superiors BELIEVE that Upper Management Procedure rules take precedent...you know what I mean.

Yeah, I knew what you meant. :P

Something tells me that even if Foreman HAD told his supervisor to STFU, it would not have gone very well, either. I mean...House had also been fired multiple times before he had someone crazy enough like Cuddy as a boss.

I've never understood how you'd use a J-handle cane, anyway. It just looks horribly uncomfortable. The flame!cane is the first J-handle cane that House has used that I've liked. Otherwise, I think derby handles look much better.
