Because it's really funny, but I thought it was for CLASSROOMS. And CLASSES. You know, where you sit at a desk, or a table, or a computer. And you listen to a lecture. Or god forbid, WORK.
Apparently not. Apparently there is a fucking party going on in EVERY SINGLE GODDAMN ROOM ON THIS FLOOR.
Not TEN SECONDS in the last HOUR AND A HALF have passed without someone - a student, a teacher, SOMEONE - walking by.
Talking. What is this, social hour? Stuffing their FUCKING faces with chocolate - oh, that's a nutritious snack to replace your energy, you fuckwits! And the women strolling BACK AND FORTH down the hallway in HIGH HEELS while they have their little chit-chats better get their asses somewhere else before I knock them down, rip their shoes off, and jam the heels in their EYE SOCKETS.
THIS IS A STUDY CARREL HALL. Why is this suddenly a major traffic lane? Oh, and let's not even get INTO the door slamming. Every door along this hallway belongs to a computer lab, so they all swing closed automatically. And they're quite heavy. Does ONE SINGLE ASSHOLE stop and swing the door slowly shut before they go and get their stupid Snickers bars and coffee? No. And apparently, the students in the room across from me don't actually have any real work to do, since one or another of them has left the room (or come back) in a continuous stream for the last hour.
SLAM. Pause. SLAM. Pause. SLAM. Pause. SLAM. Pause. SLAM.
Jesus christ, I'm about to either burst into tears or go on a fucking rampage. Or both. THANKS FOR THE WASTED MEDICINE YOU ASSHOLES! Especially the goddamn instructor, since it apparently hasn't occurred to them that the students at the carrels in the hallway might actually be trying to work or something.
I hope something makes you ROADKILL on the way home, shithead!
Hmm. ...Okay, it's actually finally sorta quiet now for the first time since 6:15 or so. If it starts up again, I'm moving, because I will have a nervous breakdown otherwise. (Want to know why I didn't move before? I set up here because it's been the quietest place I've found to work in the past several months.)
...Oh wait, look, there goes one of the teachers! Going home with his little briefcase, how cute. He's one of the ones who felt the need to walk back and forth about four times in one hour, talking with his little teacher buddies and eating candy. He gets to go home now, yay! That's real nice.
I'll only be here for a few more hours trying to make up what time I've lost due to total lack of concentration from the noise level. Security will see me again today so I can stay past eleven. I guess I'd better go to the school store at 8:30 and buy a sandwich and hope it doesn't give me food poisoning again. Egg salad that's been sitting there for hours doesn't always look so good, but I'm not sure the meat is better.
I want to know who to COMPLAIN to about this. LOUDLY. This is so fucking unacceptable there's no words. I am so FUCKING SICK of there being no respect for quiet in this goddamn fucking shit school.

Date: 2006-04-11 04:18 am (UTC)Today in my Japanese Chapter Test we went through the entire class with this demented elevator going "bing... 4th floor going up" every 2 to 5 minutes. The university for some odd reason (probably for the blind) has put in voices into the 4 elevators to notify what floor they're at. IT'S so annoying! anyways the one on two of them when not in service (which is often) reset by going to the 4th floor and getting stuck there and opening there doors out of apparent boredome with their uless menial lives....
sorry your rant inspired me and I'm procrastinating.
