LJ's just pissing me off, lately...

Does anyone know if it's possible to order a paid account AND the icon add-on, and pay through money order or check?

I spent the morning trying to navigate the paid account area (lj really doesn't have a very intuitive way to navigate where you want to go), and found that if I want to order a paid account AND icon add-on, it only sends me to a page for credit cards and such. I don't HAVE a credit card!

Do I have to send a check for the paid account, and then I can order icons? Or is it only possible, basically, to order an icon add-on (to add to a paid account order) through a credit card?


So goddamn annoying, I tell you.


Also, on another journal of mine that I have been trying to set up, I keep getting these stupid error messages when I try to update "personal info."


When I try to enter my country as "Canada," and my province as "Alberta" in the select-a-non-U.S.-state box, I get this error message:

One or more errors occurred processing your request. Please go back, correct the necessary information, and submit your data again.

• You specified a non-US country but selected a US state.

When I change my country to "U.S." (because whatever, right?), and erase "Alberta" from the select-a-non-U.S.-state box, I get this:

One or more errors occurred processing your request. Please go back, correct the necessary information, and submit your data again.

• You specified United States as your country, but you typed in a non-US state in the "other state" field.

WHAT THE EFF?

I JUST DON'T LIVE IN AMERICA OKAY. CAN WE GET THAT RIGHT.

Dammit, I wish they'd fix that. It takes me forever to get that sorted out on every journal I start, and I can never remember how to fix it again.

So that journal now just says I live in the U.S., state and city unspecified. At least I got it to say that much.


Oh, yeah, and the Userpic Factory lj has now? Really irritating, because it randomly loads even icon-sized images into the Factory, and no matter what, you can't upload them properly.

Just go to "Gift Shop - Paid Accounts" click on "manual payments", click the button of whichever paid account you want and then press "add to order". That will take you to the summary page (basically your cart) and then click on the "add additional paid service" link. That will take you back to the Gift Shop home page, click on "Purchase Add-Ons - Extra Userpics". Click the button for the option you want and hit "add to order". Then just total it out and choose money order or check as the payment option.
