Not all of them but some of them, when people have a chance to change the system that they've been complaining about for oh so many years, especially to make it more accountable.. and they reject the opportunity.. well it's sad.
But...just as an example, someone on my friend list supported only 79 and 80, and opposed 73-78. Seeing 6/8 of the things you wanted happen is still something to celebrate.
Well, whatever the spoilsport in the first comment says, I am exceedingly happy that the abortion prop didn't pass. What BS that was.
That was a shitty thing to do. Let something that affects only kids 17 and under be something only people over the age of 18 can vote on. STUPID STUPID MEAN MEAN MEAN.

Yeah, well so long as your mommy or daddy are legally obligated to pay for your teeth to be straightened, your broken bones to be healed, and any other medical expenses you incur until you reach the legal age of 18, I'd say that they have a right to know if you're going to have ANY medical procedure done on your body.
Kids go through puberty at like, 12 or 13. They begin to have adults bodies and with those bodies come desires. Legal adults have the same desires, but why are they acting on those impulses the ones that are socially acceptable? Scientifically this does make sense than 13-18 year olds have an adult body but can't be trusted to use it correctly without their parents knowledge and consent.
I think you typed really fast and some of it doesn't make sense, but if you are saying what I think you are saying, we have never trusted under 18ers to make choices on their own. Without a written test, it's the fastest way to test maturity: by basing it on age.
So what, the parents have to pay for abortions they aren't notified of where you live? That makes no sense whatsoever. How the hell does that work?
I opposed 73 (in principle, since I'm about as far away as you can get from California and not have icicles hanging from your nose year-round) because it's incredibly dangerous. It completely ignores the fact that a pregnant teenager might well be thrown out of their home, particularly if their parents find out they're seeking an abortion in the first place. (Never mind teenagers pregnant by their fathers, uncles, brothers, etc. due to sexual abuse.)
It puts kids who are ALREADY in terrifying positions (pregnant) in even more ugly positions. NOT TO MENTION it's a major violation of their bodies - so what, if the parents don't approve of the pregnancy, the girl is FORCED TO CARRY THE FETUS?

Politics is all compromise, all the time.
