I see my background every time, I seriously do...it loads immediately.

I know nobody is lying to me about just seeing fubar black, but I still find it hard to believe...now I gotta find a way to fix it.

your comp has a cache folder that temporarily stores all image files downloaded from the internet. whenever you return to a page you've already been to or go someplace with images you've already loaded, the comp uses those temp files instead of re-downloading the image. that way everything goes much quicker. because you already had viewed your pic online, your comp cached it, and it using that temp image whenever you load your lj page.

you can go into the preferences folder of your internet browser and look around, someplace there should be a clear or empty cache button. that'll get rid of all those temp files, and when you load your lj page, the pic shouldn't load anymore.

i think you're gonna hafta host your pic someplace else.

Oh, and ummm...a geocities page with a ".txt" link...I have a photopage with one of my Yahoo accounts, but I don't think the pics on it have seperate URLs.

uhm.. what do you mean? :p

try the geocities thing.. clear your cache after you've uploaded it, change your lj settings, then reload your lj and see if it works.
