I hate owing people money. I hate feeling like a freeloader.
Today Lester paid for my dinner...we techs went out for dinner together, and I was under the impression we were going to a fast-food place where small amounts of coinage would buy food AND be socially acceptable. I was wrong. I owe Lester two dollars now for the rest of my meal. (I gave him what I had.) I told my mom six, so I could get more money. ^_~ I know, I need a job.
Today I had an interesting convo w/ my friend Nick backstage...Carmen, our backstage manager told me to "go, girl" for some reason. I corrected her.
Nick: I understand what you want, and I accept it, but sometimes it's hard to wrap my head around...I'll think of what you were like in Gr. 10 and think, "No, Nick! BAD Nick! Danny's not like that anymore!" *smacks forehead*
Me: I don't think of it like that. *pauses* Just think of it like I was in drag all that time. That's pretty much how I see it.
Look, if it helps...I tried wearing high heels once, you know what happened?
Nick: What?
Me: I tripped and fell down two flights of stairs...INCLUDING the landing.
Nick: *cracks up*
