Job Hunting
Aug. 11th, 2004 12:43 amSpent the past week or so going out and looking for a job when I wasn't putting together shelves to put up in my room. Because I really, really need one.
Mom told me that the job market right now is in such straits that employers are resorting to hiring "unhirables" - criminals, mental cases - so I shouldn't have any trouble finding a job.
But no one's called me back, yet. I guess I'm more unhirable than a criminal.
*scuffs*
But hey, I talked to the manager of Collacutt, and she seemed to like me. That's a good sign, I guess.

And *wince* If you knew how much I hate mistakes in my own journal. *goes to fix* No, but thank you for pointing that out.

Date: 2004-08-13 10:11 am (UTC)see, what they usually do is let a whole bunch of applications/resumes pile up, and then when they feel like they have enough time and energy, they'll call everyone in over a 2-3 day period and do interviews and the like.
It's a stupid process, but it's fairly well the norm from what I've seen, anyway.
Good luck with all of it, I'm sure you'll do fantastic!
