Job Hunting

Spent the past week or so going out and looking for a job when I wasn't putting together shelves to put up in my room. Because I really, really need one.

Mom told me that the job market right now is in such straits that employers are resorting to hiring "unhirables" - criminals, mental cases - so I shouldn't have any trouble finding a job.

But no one's called me back, yet. I guess I'm more unhirable than a criminal.

*scuffs*


But hey, I talked to the manager of Collacutt, and she seemed to like me. That's a good sign, I guess.

having been in retail, I know the process can take a bit. It doesn't necessarily reflect on you.

Wondering, though... who would hire a metal case, and what would they hire it for? I mean, apart from the obvious transport of important spy paperwork...

Yeah, on Tuesday I got told, "Well, sometime later this week, we'll call you. Or, well...maybe next week..."

And *wince* If you knew how much I hate mistakes in my own journal. *goes to fix* No, but thank you for pointing that out.

see, what they usually do is let a whole bunch of applications/resumes pile up, and then when they feel like they have enough time and energy, they'll call everyone in over a 2-3 day period and do interviews and the like.

It's a stupid process, but it's fairly well the norm from what I've seen, anyway.

Good luck with all of it, I'm sure you'll do fantastic!
