Coming home from school today, it started hailing. By the time I got home, I was soaked to the skin.
I got undressed out in the sunroom, and then emptied out my backpack - which I discovered is NOT waterproof. Luckily, nothing seems to have been damaged - my books only got a bit wet.
I can't say the same for our basement ceiling. As I type, I'm trying to keep an eye on it. We have leakage. We're hoping it was only the severity of the storm we had.
Essentially, it was a rather dramatic end to a fairly good week.
-I got new school clothes. We actually found a bunch of T-shirts I can wear with a binder and pass. This is rockin' - I can't usually wear T-shirts.
-My name change papers finally came in and I got things fixed at the office today, plus I have my ID card. Whee!
-My teachers have not been making a fuss over my name - but, on the other hand, they're not tending to get it right. My idiot math teacher calls me "Danielle" even though I constantly correct his pronunciation. And he even thinks it's an odd gender-neutral name he's never seen a guy use before!
-Yes. Math teacher. He's such a dipshit. He thinks he's god's gift to math students. I hate him already.
-The homework hasn't been bad yet, though, and I feel good that I'm still on top of it.
-My aunt and I went to go see Bad Boys II, and then my dad took me to see The Order, so this is a good movie time. Oh, and Dad wants to go see POTC with me and Nicole. w00t.
-My dad got me a carved glass chess set for my birthday, which I'm all kinds of happy about. Ironically, I can't play for shit, but I LOVE collector's chess sets. Also, he bought me The Culture of Fear. Even if he does think my reading taste is odd.
People keep asking me what I want to do for my birthday. Where do I want to go? What do I want to eat? Honestly, my only answer is, "nothing I hate." I'm unfortunately one of those people that other people can't buy for, too.
