Neither of my blurties will stay logged in long enough for me to even update; hell, since one of my blurties is mostly private entries, when I click on "recent" I can't even read my own entries!

Grr. What the heck is going on?

Shrink day this afternoon. I had to do the "projective" tests, meaning the ones where I sit and my shrink takes notes while he watches me produce my masterpiece versions of the "Kinetic Family" and "House-Tree-Person" drawings. He insists they're supported by large bodies of scientific literature, but I have my doubts.

No biggie, the paper tests are next. Hopefully, those are a little more reliable. (Although, apparently, the way I draw windows is typically masculine.)

And oh, FUCK, I appear to have lost 7 of my icons. Dammit.

Well, at least I can change them now and stop going crazy wishing I could. But DAMN, I didn't want to go back to three.

oh I like the house-tree person test... but never heard of "kinetic family"

...

sounds kinda... icky. :P
maybe I'm glad I haven't had to have heard of it.

*would hate to draw my (childhood) family*

sorry about your icons... :( I read something in news that they were going to start cutting off the number of icons in the free accounts. I think that's just going to drive people away from LJ.

btw...

No, 7 of them are inactive. They show up, but I can't use them. :(

Actually, I didn't draw any of my biological family. He said I didn't have to; just the people I FEEL are my family.

Oh, and can you get into your blurty?

yeah... I don't seem to have any trouble at all...

so what level of hell is the gender policing hell? is that the tenth level.

'i will only give you t if your windows are masculine enough...'

Well, mine are fine, so I guess I'm in the clear. :P

Seriously, when he was telling me I'd have to draw a tree and a house and whatnot, I was like, "What the holy fuck?" And I asked him directly - what about things like drawing skill? What if you've been trained to draw using certain techniques? etc.

And he told me that "such things" are not a problem, because the projective testing has long since been accommodated for that. Yet he still was commenting on my proportions.

oh... good point.
I didn't mean that I like the DAP test because I think it's really indicative of much of anything... I just meant that... I like drawing trees and such. ;)

your second line there really put it into perspective!
*giggles a bit*
:)

Bzuh?

the draw-a-person (and a house and a tree) test.

I said before that I liked it. *shrugs*
I just like drawing trees... didn't mean that I liked it as a test that people should have to do in order to prove how masculine they are or anything.

*hugs*
