Alack, estrogen poisoning! The evil time is upon me! *gasps in horror*

Does anyone else feel really alienated by the trans community sometimes? I was so happy when I was first coming out to discover how many others there were like me, but it's not all a bowl of roses. The thing that really gets me is how "queer" everything is. I have no problem at all with other people identifying as "queer", but I've never felt that I was at all, probably b/c I was never a lesbian. So it bothers me a tad to be reading a gay magazine and see it say that trans people are "probably even more queer than us." But I'M NOT!

Ok, so, I still haven't figured it out yet.

But you were born a female, desiring and feeling as a male, correct? I'm not up to date on PC terms, so I apologize if I'm offensive somehow... I hate being offensive by accident, but I'm curious!

So, do you like men, or women? I don't know much about this kinda thing, so I'm naturally curious.

Hee, no offense taken. Yes, I was born female. Yes, I feel that I should really be male. I have felt this way all my life, and I plan to get a sex change.

The proper terms would be FTM (female-to-male tanssexual), trannie boy, trans guy, something like that. :)

And when I say I'm straight, I mean I like girls. Y'know. 'Cuz I'm a guy. :)

Hehe, cool. That clears things up a great deal. I am no longer AS confused!

So it's kinda like the guitarist in Hedwig, except... She eventually decides to be a girl.

All so confusing ^^ Ah well, I'll just ask questions if I'm laying on the floor writhing in confusion. ;-)

Only diff with Hedwig is (I think, didn't actually see the movie, but I read this somewhere) that ze didn't actually want a sex change except to escape Berlin with hirs male lover, something like that. (Which is why I'm not definitely calling this person a she.) Otherwise, yeah, same thing.
