When my dad moved out, he had worked it out - and was prepared to sign the paperwork - to make it so my mom and my sister and I got 75% of the money, property, etc. Because we are three people, and he is one. That's fair, right?
But that's not how divorce law works. And now his lawyer has talked him into going for half.
So now we won't be able to afford our house. We have to sell it to raise the money to pay dad.
*a little sad*
This may affect the summer. If you're coming up, and we've moved we might not have an extra room to put you in. Of course, we could get a pull-out bed or something, and you could take up the living room, but I feel like you wouldn't be comfortable doing that. Not having a door, or anything. And the cat would probably try to sleep on you. And she's heavy.
This sucks. 'M sorry.
