Is it just me, or are there quite a few people dealing with PMS and/or that time of the month today?

This phenomenon mystifies me, always has. I don't get PMS, never did. The first day I'm cranky if I don't get painkillers, but that's because it hurts like a bitch without drugs. That's it.

Now, I don't want to give anyone the impression that I don't think PMS is "real." I do. Both my mother and my sister get it, I'm not going to say any B.S like "oh, it's all in your head," because my mother lectured me quite sternly about that when I was 12. She told me all kinds of horror stories about puking in gym class and so on, and generally managed to convince me of it's existence. PMS is just an alien thing to me. (In a way, that's a relief, but on the other hand, it would be nice to have a heads-up. I don't keep very good track of the days, and it might help sometimes if I WASN'T a chipper boy beforehand.)

I was just discussing this with my mother last night actually, and asked her why so many women get PMS and I do not, despite my annoying femaleness. (Yes, I expect my mother to have all the answers.) She told me that some women do, some don't. It all depends on levels of hormones.

Which got me thinking...

I wonder if there's any connection at all to my being trans? I mean, obviously that is not the case in all or even most tranny boys. I'm pretty sure most of the guys I know get PMS. Still...it would be interesting to know if you are more likely not to PMS if you're trans, lez or bi.
