beandelphikiSo some of you may be aware that a little while ago, Yahoo! decided to fuck some people over. I'm not sure how many of you have Yahoo! ID's but I've had one for a few months...I got mine just prior to Yahoo! deciding to:
o Merge Yahoo!Groups and Yahoo!Clubs
o Make some Adults Groups and categories unlisted, so that you can't find them unless you have the exact URL.
Now the first thing is incredibly annoying...given that I liked the format of Yahoo!Clubs much better. But I can live with the Groups' ugliness.
The second one is NOT bearable.
Basically, Yahoo! decided that Adult Groups should not be so easy to access. I think this censorship is due in part to the effect of a Bush administration, but that's just my theory. There apparently has been a fringe group protesting it, so Yahoo! decided to screw over all the people who found Yahoo! such a comfort because they could easily find like-minded perverts.
So, I have been thinking seriously about creating a Yahoo! group for people to post links to adult groups. And making it listed, (NOT as an adult group) so people can find it. The problem is finding a sufficiently innocuous category to place it in. I want a category people will be able to find it in, but not one that will draw attention from Yahoo! faster. I'm thinking Online Relationships, since those people probably look at porn and would like to find Adult groups easily anyway, right?
There IS another group like the one I'm thinking of making, but it's closed membership - you can only join when you send the mod 25 links for adult groups. I think that's useless. If I had 25 adult groups, I wouldn't be looking for more.
