I absolutely hate the way I smell at this moment.

I just cleaned the cat's litterboxes, and now I smell like litter. I don't know why this is - I washed my hands with antibacterial soap, so they should smell like soap, and they do. My clothes are not carrying the scent, either.

Yet somehow, I still smell like litter. Maybe it's under the soap-smell, which is more powerful. That might explain why I think I can only smell soap (or soap and litter?) when I bring my hands close to my face, but smell it again the second I pull my hands a few inches away.

This has just been a not-so-good sense-day. Not a really bad one, but a not-so-good one. I think I spent most of it flinching at noises.

Of course, if I could just remember to do the boxes BEFORE I take a shower, I wouldn't have this problem. But no, I almost always forget.

I'm probably going to have trouble sleeping tonight, because I'll still be able to smell cat litter. Fuck.

hair carries the strongest scents, it's the protein in it that latches on to things like that first. so you might try conditioning your hair.

yeah

one of the annoying things about being a guy, when i go to the bar or the clubs, the smell of smoke tends to hang around my hair even after i've left, and i've got fairly long hair for most guys.

*sigh*

Yeah, it's probably sticking to your hair.

I know this may sound crazy, but do you have Febreeze over there? it's spray-on fabric deodoriser (gets rid of tobacco odours and so on). It also happens to work well on hair, though the manufacturers don't say so, and it doesn't seem to do any harm.

Oh, this is late, but nevertheless...

You put Febreeze in your hair? *mad giggles* Yeah, I guess I'll have to try that.

My hair's short, so it just takes a little squirt. I know it may sound crazy, but heck, it works. When you think about it, hair's only human wool, and Febreeze is good for destenching wool. Assuming that you'd rather smell of synthetic flowers than catcrap/stale smoke, that is.

I'm careful to avoid inhaling it while I spray, of course.

of cource it could be psychological. Liek thougth asssociated, because you're thinking about it maybe even subconsciously you still smell the smell. Like for instance every once in a while i smell that aweful smell of perserved Cow Eyballs and Sheeps Brains from Grade 12 science, (like now cause i'm thinking about it blah) so it could be because you're thinking about it. It could be you just always smell like cat litter and never noticed it before. XD J/K
