My computer either hates me, or I fail at life

Okay, guys:

How the HELL do you get avi. files OFF your computer and onto a disc?

I don't need it to be a playable video disc. (Unless there's no other way to do it.) I just want to back some TV eps onto disc so I can delete them off our computer, and I'd be fine with a data disc as long as I could later open the episodes on my computer.

But everything I've tried with Nero Express doesn't work, and I don't understand why. Is this not possible, or what?

-The sixth episode of Doctor Who is downloading for me at the speed that snails fuck. Took me long enough to find the torrent too, since Mininova is limping along today for some reason. God, I'm dying here. At this rate, it'll probably 8 or 9 before it's done. Not viewing DW communities, though. Not. *sighs*

-GOD WRITING PORN IS HARD. Why?! I've read tons of porn. Why can't I write it? What's the block here?

...Well, okay, part of the block is definitely that I write a line and then re-read it and worry that it sounds silly. Then write another line and decide, yup, that definitely sounds silly. Erase it, try to fix the first line. Put the line back the way it was. Fix it again. Undo fix again. Write another line... Lather, rinse, repeat.

And um, I probably shouldn't be reading weepingcock at the same time, because reading porn-mockage when you're trying to write same REALLY doesn't help. At all.

Okay, this episode was pretty awesome. I was terribly afraid because "the Doctor's daughter" looked so VERY Mary Sue-ish, but she's redeemable. They didn't do too bad a job, consider how horrible this COULD have been.
