Okay, well, that post about the "Superior Master" got some responses, all right. And I have to say I don't agree with the MAJORITY of said responses.
Why is everyone convinced this guy is gay? Maybe he is, but I sort of doubt it. I just think he's an asshole who thinks he's hit on a way to make money without ever getting off his duff. That's all.
What is this bit about "straight" guys trolling gay chat rooms?
"straight man seeks same for hot M2M action" <-- Have I seen it? Yep.
Do I think they're gay? Nope.
Understand people, I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything. I just think, "Well he must be gay," is quite a knee-jerk reaction, and it's necessary to think about these things a little more.
Anyone ever wonder why so many a straight guy, upon being introduced to a gay guy, will suddenly start proclaiming his heterosexuality? Oh, yes, we know the answer to THAT one, Dan! It's because he's insecure about his sexuality!
Um. Or MAYBE it's because gay guys tend to pull this shit - "Ooh, I think he secretly wants to boff Brad Pitt!" Coming out as gay is like getting a new car - suddenly everyone has the same model. I have a lot more respect for people who can eventually get over the "new car" syndrome.
I just think it's a bit of a vicious cycle. And if people were a little more aware of this, we could start getting past it.
