It's the first day of school. I'm lost, and not sure what the heck I'm doing, but I've managed to stuff down all anxiety in a way that I have perfected over the years. This unique skill allows me to avoid doing anything important until it is too late to do anything, anyway, and I'm screwed.
I end up going to the main gym for some reason, and staying there all morning. This part of the dream is fuzzy, but I'm aware that I'm missing my two morning classes.
At lunch I leave the gym and am struck with the sicking realization that I just skipped two classes on the first day of school. Terrified, I tell myself I will find my way to my afternoon math class, and not screw up any further. So I set out to find the class.
After several minutes of searching for a map, it becomes clear that the school building itself has set out to thwart me. Doors shift and change position, although that matters little because none of them even have signs. They are all locked. The halls are deserted, except for a pretty blond girl who occasionally strolls past and mocks me.
Finally I find a staircase that I am sure leads up to my classroom. But the first stair is ten feet off the ground.
Can anyone tell I'm nervous about college?
