May. 3rd, 2002 03:34 pmOMG, Kendra is a boy's best friend!
Kendra is a girl I know who is in 10th grade. We met in Tech class; she was there at the start, but she had to drop it. We've had a few long conversations now, about my gender and sexual identity, and her sexual identity (she's bi) and I can never get over how cool she is.
Most of the girls who are bi that I know seem very casual about it....like...Fae, for example, was the first person I knew to come out, yet I would be very surprised if I discovered she has ever PURPOSELY picked up a book by a gay author. It seems strange to me, sometimes, that out of all of us at school, I feel the most straight, and yet I am the one who is the most concerned with a connection to the gay community.
But Kendra's dad is gay. So it's a bit different with her.
