Yay! I finally got a LiveJournal! Yay for me!!! Okay, I make it sound as though I've been waiting for months for this privilege. Actually, I just found out about this site a few days ago. Since I love journals (I've had a private one since I was eight), and I like to tell people exactly what I think (not like that's a threat or anything), I knew this is for me. Unfortunately, I was one of the "few" who stumbled across LiveJournal, so then I had to go searching desperately for a friend! (Who has a LiveJournal, hahahah.) Many, many thanks to Lester for giving me an invite. If I were a hugging kind of guy, I'd hug you, man.
One or two words about my username, beandelphiki. Bean's a character in some books by Orson Scott Card. Bean's a little (very little) super-super-genius kid who goes to a school in space to train to be a soldier. These are the "Ender's Game" books. The one that focuses mainly on Bean is "Ender's Shadow." They're technically science fiction, but you don't have to like sci-fi to read them. OSC is very accessible. I strongly reccomend anything by him, especially the "Ender" books.
I didn't mean this entry to turn into a book review, but oh well.
I decided to call myself Bean because I identify with him so completely. Not that I'm a super-super-genius (I wish, haha), but we have the same basic philosophy and world view. Also, I'm kinda short for a guy (5'7"). Also, I'm a human bean.
I did consider Progeny666 (Devil's spawn, one of my perverse little jokes), but decided against it.
