I'm scared now.
I honestly thought that no one was going to run across my Blurty journal for a long, looong time. I mean, okay, I joined a community, but it's a big one, and I never posted anything there. Who was gonna notice me?
(If you're not going to read any farther, I guess I'll mention that Blurty.com still is giving out Early Adopter accounts, last I checked. But no one better abandon me here.)
The only thing I've posted in that journal was a little Harry/Oliver drabble. But I've now had one comment and two people add me to their friends list.
I'm not particularly happy about any of these developments. The comment was disturbing; just, "duuuuuude help me!!1!" And of the two girls who added me, one is a teenybopper who can't spell "Gryffindor," and the other just looks like she's adding everyone in B:fandom_wank indiscriminately. What the hell does that say about the ONE fic that I've posted? (Or written, for that matter.)
I never actually MEANT for anyone to be reading that journal when I created it. It was just gonna be an HP fiction journal that I might, every once in blue moon, update. Because a) I'm horrible at writing characters that are not mine; b) I didn't want the pressure of anyone expecting me to write anything, real or imagined (just ask about my doomed movie review journal here on lj) and c) I'm very sensitive about my fiction, especially if it's BAD.
*sigh* I already screened that disturbing comment...maybe I should just...privatise that journal or something. *covers eyes*
Edit: Was reading over that drabble again, and I just have to say that it REALLY stiiinks. Plus I think I stole a phrase that's in there off someone. I just realized it sounds too familiar. *frown* Will have to edit that.
