Bank down, rest of the world to go

Okay, it's always nice when people who mysteriously deleted their journal re-appear. It means I don't have to worry anymore what happened to them. *waves*


I HEART my mommy!

We went to the bank today to get me a money order so I can donate to Gaia (curse my not having a PayPal account), and while there we addressed the issue of my bank statements.

Since I changed my name, they've been coming addressed to "Miss Daniel..."

Which was a real forehead slapper.

So when we went in today, my mom pointed this out and made up a story about how it had gotten changed somehow when we moved my account around, and how we'd been in to try and fix it before, but the system must not like it, so...bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.

And the woman who was dealing with us was deeply apologetic, telling us over and over how sorry the bank would be for the error. ("I don't know how this could have happened! It's fixed, he won't have any more problems from now on.")

Mom and I were laughing our asses off when we left.

I find it odd that your bank still uses the Miss/Mrs/Mr title. I can't remember the last time I got mail from anywhere that addressed me as "Miss Erin". It's so quaint. *shrug*
