beandelphiki: Animated icon of the TARDIS from the British television show, "Doctor Who." (fuck 'em)

So I spent two hours in a warm coffee shop last night, pouring over my last physics unit with my father so I'd be prepared for the make-up test. Then I went home and beat my brains out over the review questions...

A car is traveling north on a city street. It starts from rest at a stop light and accelerates uniformly at a rate of 1.3 m/s*s until it reaches the speed limit of 14 m/s. The car will travel at this velocity for 3.0 minutes and will then decelerate at a uniform rate of 1.6 m/s*s until it comes to a stop at the next stop light. How far apart are the two lights?

[Okay, that one isn't too bad, but it sure sounds nasty.]

Then I get into the exam and discover that all the written questions are from the beginning of the unit - really basic average velocity questions. I lost sleep over this damn test, and for what?

Can I get a moment of stunned speechlessness?

Also, the exam my teacher had sent down to the exam room for me has my female name on it. I was annoyed by that - I've been telling my teachers that I changed my name in the system, and writing "Daniel" on everything I hand in. Yet evidently, my physics teacher hasn't picked up the clue, and the school hasn't seen any reason to inform my teachers that my name is different.

So I guess I will have to drag each one aside, tell them again and show them the documentation this time, so they understand I really mean it. That this isn't a nickname game - I really changed it. Otherwise, not only is it annoying, but having the wrong name on documents is going to screw up the system.

I love the fact I can now turn around to the bureaucrats and tell them they HAVE to use my male name or screw up their precious system.
