What a horrible day for the internet

So I got on today hoping that there would be lots of cheery and funny posts on lj for me to read, and what do I find?

1) Someone being (I think) quite rude, and (I think) for no real reason.

2) A post from someone I care about that upset me VERY much, for reasons I can't even explain to myself, and

3) Someone on my friends list has deleted his journal.

Now, I've had people do that, and then simply make a new journal and not add me with the new one. That's fine. Starting over is perfectly allowed, and I won't whine about it.

But I have no idea what happened, and it sure surprised me. So I'm kinda worried. I HOPE it's only that he wanted to start over and not add me again.


So I am now so, so, UBER stressed. *cries*

I'm sorry!!! I wasn't going to kill the dog, I swear!! I was saving it!!

we have dogs here that people leave in their cars with the windows rolled up, and then other people break their windows out to save the animal... that's what I meant!!

i think i know what you're talking about for #1... i say just ignore it. he probably meant it as a joke but it came off harshly. and, well, if he didn't, then it still shouldn't affect you any. it's just a silly thread about my new ill-gotten toy. :)

*nods* Okay, then. Thank you. And yes, it bothered me, but I suppose I'd already been having a bad day? Meh.

I did want to add my comment about not offending you because...my return comment to him was only about his comment. I'd be very sorry if I offended you, but since it's your journal, I'd leave that up to you to decide. Not anyone else. *shrug*

But I'm sure you're right I should have left it alone. I guess I'll feel foolish if he meant it as a harmless joke, but that's quite often the price you pay for oversensitivity. :P
