I love being a grown-up
May. 12th, 2003 12:11 amI'm eating Jell-o chocolate pudding. A HUGE bowl of it, the whole box. *smug grin*
Of course, making it was quite the task. I measured out the milk, poured in the mix, and then remembered that mom threw out our whisk. It died.
So I went and got mom, and she showed me how to use the electric hand mixer. (I KNOW! I live off my mother's cooking and Kraft Dinner, okay?)
Ah, the trials and tribulations of trying to work an electric hand mixer. After mom left, I thought I had a pretty good handle on the thing... But I managed to hit the release button for the beaters, because I thought that was what turned it on. So, CLUNK-CLUNK, there go the beaters into the sink. And putting them back in...
Well, suffice it to say I don't want to deal with an electric hand mixer again for a while. But I have my pudding! And, unlike those times when my mom used to make pudding when I was a kid, I got to lick BOTH beaters, and not just one. My sister's in bed.
