Oh, great...
*sigh*
So my condition (and it is MY condition now!) is called "spontaneous pneumothorax."
The doctor has told me:
1) That I am at high risk for this because I have asthma
2) That because I have had it once, it is very likely it will happen again
3) That because of my asthma, my chances of getting this over and over are very good
He also explained that I should not be operating the power tools at school and breathing in the sawdust. I should not be in carpentry, it's a health risk. (I told him that I have to do carpentry at school, and his reaction was, "You do WHAT?")
Oops. Too late. I'm already getting my diploma in this stuff.
So I have to visit Occupational Health, and get a proper air mask.
*sigh*

I guess it's a good thing that you can get an air mask though, hopefully that would prevent it happening again due to those conditions....still, I am sorry :(
I want you to be well~!
p.s.- I loved the "What I really think about you" thing you did...it was great! As soon as I can get caught up with stuff, I think I'll do one of those lists too...it seemed like fun.

And I haven't had to go back to the hospital for lung stuff in 8 years, so it's highly treatable, especially if you keep your asthma under control.
My biggest problem currently is smokers. I live with two of them and while they keep it out in the garage for the most part, just the smell of cigarettes on clothes is enough to trigger me. I don't want to be a dick about it since I know they've both tried to quit and are currently trying to gradually ramp down to quit again - but it's hard to be Mr. Tolerant when you're sucking on a nebulizer because of someone else's vice.
Anyway, digression aside, I just wanted to let you know that while you are prone to getting this again, you can work it out so that you're less likely to. Getting a good mask saved my bacon in that regard. I just had to remember to -wear- it. *laugh*
