Down at Prince's Island, there was this guy who was like 'Do you love Canada?'. To which I responded with my normal 'Hell yes', he sorta frowned for a second and then was like, 'then look at this'. And he handed me this religion god loves you thing. Which i promptly ripped up and told him Nationalism and Religion have nothing to do with each other, and wished him a good Canada Day

See to me, i don't care about religion. everyone's entitled to believe in what they want, that's their right, some people abuse it yes...somepeople are dumb enough to try to fight with me about blah and blah. But when you sit there and you try to tell me 'but this bible passage says this...' I will always promptly say...so what? bible what? i don't care...its just a book. I can concurr that a lot of people get angry about people who try to convert others to religion, but it doesn't bother me as long as 1) they don't step over those nice little boundries that say 'common sense' and 2) they don't try to belittle what i believe in, cause then that's just a good reason for me to thrash you.
I talked to this girl once on LJ. She attended a private school and had to go to a church every day with them. Above the door there was a sign that said "Non-believers, please show respect to those who do."
She told me that she really didn't mind it, but believers never showed any respect to her. That is basically how I go as well. She and I had a very eventful conversation :)
I hate when people who try to bring religion into my life. I can't stand it. It has created such conflicts int he world, that still exist....*Sigh*
Otherwise, people can do what they want. I ignore them, they ignore me.
