Troll in the dungeon!
You know, the Aspies/auties/PDD folk I know are Good People....
This guy is not. I think I'd call that "Pervasive Asshole Disorder."
Let's get something straight. When you walk into SOMEONE ELSE'S SPACE, you are NOT the one who gets to decide if you are being rude. THEY ARE.
adults_add currently has no active maintainers (how about that...), but we generally don't have any need to police ourselves, because people have their shit together and are supportive. I don't care how right you think you are, I'm not going to let you threaten that space without comment.
And no, I'm not required to be civil about it.
The fact that this guy has completely brushed past any of my explanation that his language and approach were RUDE moves this beyond the realm of social cluelessness into Just Being A Jerkoff.

I don't necessarily have an issue with people who are anti-med - we've had those posts in the community before - but if you really want people to engage and discuss them in an intelligent fashion, be polite! I'm glad the OP didn't mind, though, or that thread could have gone on forever.
I'm tired in general of people who approach a group in a way that could be interpreted as rude and condescending, and then present with arch knowingness when anyone gets peeved. (I also hate the tendency of some AS folk to believe that they are authoritative experts on all types of neurological wiring...but that's another post.)
Meh. I expect he'll just keep getting told that he's a jackass, and he'll probably keep blaming it on the fact that he's autistic.
*shrug*
